To Joe’s family we offer our sincere condolences,

I never met Joe but he touched my family in a profoundly positive way. It was Joe who encouraged my late husband Diarmuid every step of the way when he first returned to education at Cathal Brugha St. Diarmuid spoke often about Joe’s generosity, support and belief in him which gave him the confidence to become a lecturer himself. He also told us Joe was a great story teller with an easy manner and a warmth to match. We’re so grateful that their paths crossed.
