Deepest sympathy to Kathleen, Eamon, Irene and extended families. We are so saddened to lose such a wonderful neighbour and friend. Always warm but very precise and such a wonderful authority on sport and social affairs. We had many a debate on our many journeys to and from matches. My connections with Joe go back to my childhood and youth where Joe was an integral part of our GAA community suitably suited and booted with the hurley in hand on the sideline. We farmed in Newtown and Joe was a regular that we'd meet for a chat or obliging us by standing in a gap. He cared for his late mother so well and now may his reward be eternal. RIP Joe
