Pachelbel's Cannon in D
So apt; gentle and free
In it's beauty and calm,

A balm to those who knew
The distinguished,
Gentle man - John B;

It brought thoughts that
Imbued the love and grace
Of our first meeting;

The trace of devotion
Towards your "lovely Martha" -
The pride in your voice and eyes-

The prize of love, evident
In your musician's hands.
As you showed her tender care.

Now the flautist can once again dare,
To serenade his devotion,
Amid a chorus of angels,

For God and Mary and Martha.

I am really sorry to hear of John's (I always knew him as Uncle Brendan) passing. I have fond memories of staying with Aunty Martha and Uncle Brendan in Ireland. He would tease me and joke with Aunty Martha about his many girlfriends down the road. I would tease him back saying he was Aunty Martha's pension provider and just to keep the pension coming in. Rest in Peace Uncle Brendan.
