I am deeply sorry to hear of John’s passing. JBW & I started out in RJK all those years ago. He was truly a wonderful person who always made time for you. He was the link between us all as we went through our various careers . My sincere condolences to his family.

May I express my sincere condolences to the family of John Bowen Walsh. I have only just found out about his death.

JBW, as he was known to anyone who worked with him in Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI) was a colleague of mine in the CAI for 9 years. He was always a fount of knowledge on a wide range of subjects and not just accountancy related. He was a true gentleman who always had time for us lesser mortals, with whom he shared his knowledge and helped enlighten our understanding.

(1968/72) Then we trained as accountants at RJK & Co in College Green in an era when trainee accountants were known as 'Articled Clerks' . He was a most useful contact in Chartered Accountants Ireland for any query I ever had. I nice man who will be sadly missed.

I subsequently worked alongside John for many years in the Institute. His advice, knowledge, and guidance were frequently sought and freely given. A person with a big heart.
