My sincerest condolences to Carol and all the family. I worked with John in Xray for a number of years. Such a lovely person, many a chat we had around the processors. He will be greatly missed.

I worked with John many years ago in the Xray dept and have the fondest memories of his kind and gentle manner.

I just heard about my old childhood friend and later in life my work colleague John' Buckleys passing.
,to say that I'm sad and sorry would be an understatement
John Buckley was a gentleman and a considerate human being ,that would always be the first to step up to help friend,
I was raised in Philip Street and knew the buckleys since childhood,a good kind family all.
My deepest condolences to his wife and children,his brother s and his extended family
It seems that the truly good people of this world are the ones that are taken from us all to soon.

There were various early mornings when I was playing my music loudly in the office to wake me up when John would walk in and throw his eyes up to the sky in absolute disgust at my taste in music! Banter would follow and it set many a day in work off with lots of laughs. Such a gentleman. You will be deeply missed. Rest in peace x

Condolences to Carol and the Buckley family on the death of John. John was a wonderful colleague and friend. The many tributes to him here reflect the tremendous positive impact he had on so many - humble, gentle, talented and witty. We are thinking of his family and friends at this difficult time.

Gutted to hear the news that John has moved on. I got to know John through the music sessions and he became a friend. A very kind man who was always encouraging to people who wanted to perform. His monthly gathering 'The Listening Room' at Downses brought a small group of us closer together and we had many joyful Saturday afternoons at different locations playing tunes...John was the gentle ring leader. And a good songwriter too, heartfelt songs about people and their journeys. My memories of time spent with John are special,. Condolences to John's family at this tough time.
