Family was very important to John and he always liked to keep in touch with the extended Byrne and Hanlon families. John always had a great welcome for all of Mary & Elisabeth's friends young and old and always made the cup or mug of tea or coffee or glass of wine. John was one of the old school, a true gentleman.
