I am so saddened to hear of John's passing. My deepest sympathy to his family, his friends in Sa Bhaile and Moyle Road and all the staff in St Michael's House who knew him. I had the privilege and honour of knowing John when I worked in Sa Bhaile. John was a pure gentleman who had all the time in the world to chat and tell a story or two. He had a beautiful smile and gentle manner, an infectious laugh and a lovely warm handshake. He enjoyed singing and I will never forget the first time I heard John sing "That's Amore". Whenever I hear it being sung I will always think of him. May you rest in peace John 🩵

My deepest sympathies to all of John's family and all his friends in St. Michaels House. I was one of the lucky people to have had the absolute pleasure of working with John for many years in Sabhaile. When I think of John many stories spring to mind, his kindness, his love for his family and friends, his love for airplanes, boats and animals, his faith in God and of course mass on a Sunday.
I'll remember John's infectious laugh, the stories he shared, his directions skills - every road was on left hand side.
John enjoyed entertaining people with a good auld sing song and a bit of spoon playing and let not forget his birthday parties. He was a true gentleman who gave the warmest hugs and greeted everyone with a smile.

May you have the best bed in heaven John, rest easy with the angels. Forever in my heart. 💙  💙

Selma xx (Marcella)
