I was saddened to hear of John's passing last month. He as well as 2 other CBS teachers, Pat Rogers and
John Duane have passed in recent weeks. John taught me Science 1985 to 88. I think of the "Law of the Lever",
the Lab experiments, and the many nuggets of knowledge he passed onto us at a young impressionable age.

Sincere condolences to all the Clogher family on John’s passing. John taught me science in the CBS Roscommon, and I have fond memories of a wonderful teacher. John used practical demonstrations to reinforce his teaching to pronounced effect, and (I suspect) he enjoyed the opportunity for showmanship they offered. He radiated enthusiasm in his work, he imparted learning in a most effective way, and he ignited a sense of wonderment and curiosity in his students. Outside of school, John was a warm, modest, encouraging, and engaging man. His loss will be deeply felt, and I wish comfort to all that mourn his sad loss.

I have great memories of him from my time as a pupil at Roscommon CBS in the 1980'S.
With his students, he shared many stories ,gave sound advice and passed on much wisdom.
