John COLLINS

John was one of our first members and did a tour of his native William Street for the society. He also gave a wonderful lecture on his father and his family. Rest in Peace John.

Always enjoyed John's company. He was very proud of the fact that his father was a member of the first Dail. Lovely kind gentleman..

John was one of life's gentlemen. He always had a great story at the end of committee meetings with the Thomond Archaeological & Historical Society.

My sincere sympathy to Mary and family on John's passing. I knew John only in recent years and for brief period, but he always a pleasure to talk to and very entertaining. One of Limerick's great characters! May he rest in peace.
