My Uncle John was always quick with a joke, a wink and a smile. He had an extremely kind heart, was a very hard worker and a loyal Kilkenny supporter. He'd often tell stories of attending hurling All-Ireland's in Croke Park and share tales of the glory days of his beloved Kilkenny Cats. He had a way about him that always made you feel loved and special. I'll always remember my first tractor ride, days spent in the fields with the dogs and the cattle, the jokes we made and the laughs we shared over a game of Tonk or some toast from Keogh's, rashers, black pudding and a soft boiled egg. My sincerest heartfelt condolences to all of my family in Callan. My heart is with you all during this time.
I love you and miss you Uncle John. Thank you for always being the best uncle I could ever ask for. Give Uncle Eamon, Granny and Grandad the biggest hug in Heaven when you meet them. You will live on forever in our hearts and every Cats victory henceforth will be in your honour. One day we will share another meal and a joke in the kingdom of heaven. Save me a seat at your table.
