We have nothing but good and happy memories of meeting John in his busy shop after work when we lived in Letterkenny.

John was always the perfect Gentleman - Lots of time for a friendly chat with everyone regardless of whether they wanted to purchase three slices of ham or a new gas cooker.

Shopping in John Dunne's was never a chore, but much more a social and pleasant event.

What if you "forgot" your wallet - not a problem with John just pay on the next visit or whenever.

The High Road was really never the same after John decided to retire.

May John be given a very high place in Heaven as a just reward for the good life the he lived and for his kindness to so many people on this earth.

May his gentle soul rest in peace.
