Dear Lillian, as you know, John followed in his father, Jim’s footsteps with his love of their Ford Model “Y”. He was a great character and organised a successful and enjoyable tour of Ireland for the Ford Y&C Model Register in 1992. He shall always be remembered in the Club for that. Subsequently Paula and I thoroughly enjoyed your company and generosity at Stepaside and Tara Hill. Our thoughts are with you, Ross and Lisa at this sad time.

Lillian and family,
We are shocked and extremely saddened to hear of the death of John. His warm and engaging smile was always there, and the last time we met (in Galway), he regaled me with the other love in his life - his love of vintage cars.
But it was earlier times with business and golf that endeared him to so many people - many of whom became great friends. The fantastic times we had at home and abroad hacking up the world's finest golf courses. Great times indeed.
