John was a former neighbour and friend of my husband Gabriel, and his family formerly of Ardcarne, Boyle. Sincerest sympathies to Peggy, and all the Gilboy family on the passing of John. I am so sorry to hear about the passing of John. What a great character and gentleman. I had the privilege of knowing and working with John when Marymount College and Carrick on Shannon Vocational School amalgamated in 1994. I always thoroughly enjoyed John's company.
