I was so very sad to hear of John's passing. May he truly rest in peace. My enduring memory is of his brilliance in telling a story. In his company hours passed as if they were minutes as he told of characters, mysteries, events, drama, and suspense - and brought you to tears with laughter. As a writer, one of my best tests is, 'How would John Gilmore tell this tale?' I do hope that through the grief, his family can look back and smile at the light he brought into any gathering.
