John was the happiest and the most content person I ever met in the course of my work.He was kind and gentle, with a good sense of humour. He loved to tell a story especially about his growing up days in Tuam. It was a pleasure to look after him at home and will be remembered for his love of Jaffa cakes..which were not part of the plan..Rest in peace John.

Sorry to hear of the death of John Gleeson. When i decided to come to work in Galway back in 1963 John and his wife the late Betty Egan found digs for me in Dominick St. Great digs. After a few years John give me a flat over his shop in Woodquay. John was a lovely man and a great friend. OurCondolences to Johns family and his sister in law Nora.May his gentle soul Rest in Peace.
