Laurie and family. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of John, he was such a lovely man. I will always cherish the memories I have of our time spent together at the youth club in Ballincollig. He was so loved by the young people and his colleagues. Our group trip to Scotland was a highlight, we all had so much fun. John was great craic and will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.

It was with great sadness I was unable to attend John's funeral last week and thus pay my respects to a dear and valued colleague of many years. John was a caring and reflective man and a strong advocate for those needing representation. He was a confidant and a friend. I will miss him dearly.

I am shocked and saddened with the news. My condolences to the Griffin family.

To all the griffin family, and to karen and the kids, we were so upset to hear of John's sudden passing and have all been reminiscing about our time together as neighbours on beechlawn....some great times and he was a gent. Words cant express how sorry we are for your loss but you must all be very proud of him, reading some of the posts about John over the past week, its obvious that he was someone who contributed so much to his community. Rest in peace John, keep up the music in heaven and we'll all have a jam one day in the future:) god bless xx
