I worked with John for several years in Irish Life in Talbot Street and Killester - he was the nicest man and a complete gentleman. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. My thoughts go out to his family. RIP

I have fond memories of popping in to see John with my father, Jack Deegan, in the Mater, maybe ten years ago. The two Kilkenny men had a chat about hurling among other things and had a great rapport. I know both my father and mother were very fond of John.
