We were so sorry to learn today that Jack has died. We lived opposite him and Eileen in Connaught Parade from 2009 until 2014, and they were the loveliest neighbours we could have asked for. Our daughter was born while we lived there, and Jack would see her out learning to walk in the street and would tell her what a great little walker she was. As others have said, he was a kind soul and true gentleman, and we’ll never forget his bright smile. Sending love to his family and all those missing him.

So sorry to hear that Jack has entered eternal life. Sincere sympathies to his nieces and nephews.
I have many memories of Jack and his sister who were regular attendees at mass in St Peter’s and many other Church events over the years.
Jack was the Prefect of the Men’s section of the monthly Sodality back in the 90’s and post Millennium years and he used to tick off the names of the attendees and record them in the Church records at the Monthly Sunday 9am mass.
Jack was always in good form and loved to chat with the fellow parishioners. May you rest in peace now Jack.
