I was so sorry to hear of the passing of John. In my time in BOI he was a friend, colleague and a manager and just one of the good guys!! Always a gentleman and always great fun. My sincere condolences to Aoife, Hugo and Oliver, may he Rest In Peace.

So sorry for your loss. John was one of a kind, he took me under is wing from my first day working with him and since then he has been a great friend. I will miss his wit, his intellect and our lunch time strolls. He never let me forget the importance of family, he was so proud of his boys and the men that they have become. Too soon for him to pass, I will treasure the times we had and will remember him fondly whenever I have a craft beer.

Doing a meeting with John, were it in the office or, where possible (and always John's preference), on a fine country estate; a chat in the canteen or in the pub; or simply haranguing one another across Baggot Street: all were invariably entertaining and fun.
