My deepest sympathies to all the Kennedy family on the death of your dear father,John.
I've gotten to know John over the past six or seven years, while regularly visiting my late aunt, Annie, who was a fellow resident in Rivervale Nursing Home, until her death in2019.
Knowing a few other residents from my area, and when the Covid crisis eased, I resumed visits and usually called to John's room for a short chat.
In fact, in the weeks leading up to his somewhat unexpected passing, I was able to visit him every Sunday for about a month.
Indeed, I chatted with him on the Sunday before he died, and he related that he was in considerable pain.
Still,I must say that I got a bit of a shock when the nurse told me on the following Sunday that he died on the Friday night. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend his Funeral Mass on the Monday.
I pray eternal joy and peace on his precious soul and the Lord's deep consolation to you all at this difficult time.
