So sorry to hear of Johns passing. I have fond memories of him and Nell when they would come out to O' Connors pub in Ballyboughal, John a gentle Giant would always light up the room with a song and always added greatly to our session. May you rest in peace.

The loss of a loved one at any time is a very sad occasion for family and friends.

Dear McGroddy family,

John & Nel were great friends of my late father Sean Flanagan and my mum Alice. John was my godfather, on my 21st birthday he phoned me in Sir Patrick Duns hospital where I was a student nurse to wish me a happy birthday. I still have the gold chain he gave me. On behalf of all the Flanagans in Rosses Point, we offer our sincere condolences. Mum has some nice photos which I would love to share.
