John was a household name in our family due to working with my father Paddy Hill in Irish Printers. I enjoyed reminiscing with him whenever we met in the golf club. We will all miss him. May he rest in peace.

He was a legend in his own time as they say, a marvellous singer, a great raconteur & story teller, a wonderful actor and comedian with a great stage presence. Another one of Clontarf's great characters has left us and gone to his final resting place. Gone but not forgotten ..... may he rest in peace.
