I was saddened to hear the news of Johns passing. We soldiered together for many years in the 22nd Infantry Battalion. Not only was John a great NCO but also a great friend. My sincerest sympathy to all the O' Neill family on his untimely death. May he rest in peace.

It is with deep sadness that I learned of John’s sad passing. We served together over a long number of years in the 22nd Bn FCA and the 32nd Bn Reserve, John held the rank of Sergeant. He was not just a good friend but a loyal and dependable reservist, he will be sadly missed by his wide circle of friends. My sympathy to his sister Marian and the extended O’Neill family.
