Terribly sad news. I remember Mr O'Sullivan as my primary school teacher in St Canice's, Finglas. We were John's first class in his teaching career, and we had him for 4th, 5th and 6th class (1973-1976). Our fond nickname for him was "Pippi" because he was so tall (to our 10-year-old eyes) after the character Pippi Longstocking.
Sincere condolences to his family.
— Páraic Maguire (Paris, formerly of Finglas)
