I just found out this very sad and tragic news today. My sincerest condolences to John's family and friends. I had the pleasure of attending three training sessions with John between the end of May and June. His legacy will live on through his family, friends and those students who he has taught such important skills. Thoughts and prayers are with you all :(

Caroline my thoughts are with you and any words I may say are superfluous at this time for you Conor and Amy. I met you in the mid 80's and John a bit later on. I remember you both as kind and caring and dedicated to the work and more importantly to the people you came in contact with . May John Rest in Peace and in a great place because that is what he deserves he gave of his best and only that is good enough for him.

I had the pleasure of working with John many years ago he was a gent then as he was now he will be very sadly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very sad time. RIP John.

Dear Caroline ,you don't know me but I and my sister Alice grew up with Bernie Johns Mam in the villas ,they were the best neighbours anyone could have and John is my nieces Lisa's Godfather . I want you to know that this tragedy has reached here in New Zealand and I send all my love to you ,your children Sean Stephen and Christine ,God bless always.

So sad to hear of Johns untimely passing. Had the privilege of attending one of his WRAP trainings and he was such a warm and kind person and so generous of spirit , a true gentleman. So sorry for your loss

RIP to a wonderful, caring, naturally gifted Human Being; John was explicitly ‘Human ‘ and very much a ‘Being ‘ fine man. I never met him but his work and efforts crossed my path many times via my own work life. To have his life taken in such a cruel, cowardly and insipid manner is incomprehensible.
