So sorry John to have missed your funeral and for that I am truly sorry. We were born within 2 days of one another, we grew up together, played on Brookfield Road, and went to school together. Loved the day we got in touch again after so many years and loved our little chats at Christmas and birthdays.

It was with great disbelief that I read of your passing. It was only very recently we were having a catch up on all the happenings, in your life. Your love of family was always evident. Support them at this time of immense loss. The void in their lives and of those who knew you will not be easily filled. You were a force of nature in your chariot. I LOVED YOUR BIG BEAR HUGS. YOU WERE A WONDERFUL BROTHER AND A VERY DEVOTED HUSBAND TO CARMEL. YOU WERE LOVED AND RESPECTED BY ALL WHO KNEW YOU AND WILL ALWAYS BE FONDLY REMEMBERED BY THEM. Very rarely you come across a person so caring,funny,giving and selfless and I am so grateful that I got to call you my friend.
I am devastated and shocked that you are gone but I can tell you you will never be forgotten ,we had some laughs over the years.
