Just heard John passed away. I dealt with John a lot mainly through phone calls within my job. I always found John very helpful and a very friendly person. Sad to hear of his death. May he rest in Peace

Deepest sympathy to Leila, Gary, Dean and the Young and Brannock families on the sad death of Wembo. He will be fondly remembered and never forgotten.

I think it’s appropriate to reflect this morning on a send off for Wembo like nothing we’ve ever seen or been part of.
Gardaí numbers that you’d only see at The Aviva, Dublin City traffic at a standstill and according to the Parish Priest numbers in attendance to exceed anything ever seen at this beautiful Church. Pearse Street and Ringsend at their finest.
Gary’s brilliant eulogy caught the heartstrings of everyone and I’ve never seen so many grown men cry unashamedly.
Two ‘standing ovations’ summed it all up perfectly.
To Leila, Darren, Gary and John’s dear Mam and to all the extended family you did the great man proud and as he always did, he will continue to guide you all through the tough days ahead.
Thinking of Tommy too at this v sad time.
