A true gentleman of our time, great memories of a gentle man, he did his thing, independently, from walking thru the fields to his independent pride, love and sometimes wonderment (!!) for his children, grandchildren, friends and family. It was always a fun afternoon to walk thru their door. To all Brennan's & Greene's ... he will be forever in our minds :) Big HUGs
— Mâire
Carmel, how sorry we were to hear of the recent death of your father Joe, may his dear soul rest in peace. Máire in Australia told the sad news, Jerry and I have lovely memories of calling from Dublin with Máire to see both him and your late mother Mary. I'll always remember her lovey welcome and sponge apple pie with fresh cream, they are both at peace now. Please convey our sympathies to the rest of your family some of whom we met when we visited.

Love Jerry and Vera
— Jerry & Vera Connolly
Our sincere sympathies to Joan, Mary, Carmel, Michael, Tommy and Martin and your families on the sad loss of your father, Joe. Fond memories of a kind, gentle and witty man and a lovely neighbour who always tried to make sure we slowed down on the bikes going down the hill in our early childhood.
Thinking of you al at this sad and difficult time.
