To Mary, Elaine, Joanne, Peter and all Joe's family. We are deeply saddened to hear of Joe’s passing and would like to extend our deepest condolences.

Joe was a big part of mine and Darren's lives when we were growing up through his coaching of our football team. Win or Lose (and we mostly lost!) the enjoyment and fun which he brought to training and matches is something that stays with me to this day.

Over the years our paths would cross at Christmas or family events and he would always ask about our family and how everyone was doing and after a few pints we would inevitably get around to talking about the great teams and players he managed! Great nights were had in our house when Joe, Brian, Stephen and my Dad got together….

Joe was always great fun, had an infectious laugh and was a joy to be around. As has been said by many others the world is a lesser place without Joe in it.

May he rest in peace.

To Mary and all Joe's family, I'd like to extend my deepest sympathy on the news of his passing. He was a wonderful man, full of passion, energy and enthusiasm. A smile or a laugh were never far away when in his presence.

He was a great friend to my dad throughout the years, with many a debate had over a pint or two. He was a fantastic football coach as well. He had a superb knowledge of the game, and an even better grasp of how to get the best out of people and make them want to run through brick walls for him.

He was an absolute gent, and he will be sorely missed. The world is a lesser place without him in it.

Rest in peace, Joe.
— Keith Clarges
