Dearest Jude we have been in shock since your passing and think of you every day ..you have left us with beautiful memories of our children's childhood intertwined with your gentle presence. I honestly don't think you realised the impact you had on them and us especially Kate and Emily. I worked with her in St. John of God, Ravenswell, many years ago as a Nurse and always remember her wisdom, humor and caring nature towards all she met and worked with there. We were so sorry to hear of Jude's illness and untimely passing. Jude played a central role in our daughter's pre-school year as she ran the Burren Sonas Kindergarten with devotion, care and respect for the families and children who passed through her doors. She epitomised the Steiner philosophy of nurture, rhythm, finding joy in nature, and child-led learning and development. Many friendships started in her warm & welcoming space. To Jude's family, my most heart felt sympathies on her very sad and untimely passing. Jude had a remarkably positive impact on my youngest daughter Síomha who had the joy of spending 2 years at Kindergarten with her. She still speaks of her often even though she hasn't seen Jude in some time and was so little. Jude always amazed me with her unrelenting calmness around what was a very lively and happy bunch of kids. She was so kind and caring and will be very missed. Rest in peace Jude, Niamh and Síomha x

I first met the lovely Jude when I did my nurse training at Northwick Park. She was always full of energy and loved going out and dancing . We spent many nights at the Mean Fiddler, The Church and just mooching around Camden - I always remember how fast she always walked !! She put her all into nursing at the time and after, it appears she had equal passion for nature and free spirit. Although many years passed without seeing Jude I am so glad that it recent years we had our Nursing reunions- hearing how we have all evolved and witnessing Jude’s passion for nature and her love of children, animals and her work. Along with Andi Neary and Sharon McGowan- fellow Northwick Park 1991 cohort, We will continue to re-unite, continue our memories and you will be with us each and every time , in our memories and in spirit. Jude, you lived in and loved my cottage in Luogh on the top road above Doolin and your dancing and joyful self, your love of the children, your sense of adventure and fun and delight in the natural world and its wonders, moths, early morning hares, the gulls, the fox, to say nothing of your fine cat Paudi, are so much part of the place. Your emails about what you had planted in the garden, raspberries, peas, sturdy potatoes.,your camping trips, your happiness with the two children of your lovely friend whose gallery perches past Stonecutters, are all part of your very being forever, your family's love for you as well.
