As I walked down the country road,
blue skies, sun shining, silence.
Daffodils still dancing and saluting gently in the hedgerow.
Birds singing and fluttering tenderly in the calm breeze.
The distant and subdued chatter began to fill the air.
The crowds had gathered, yet there was a gentle, calm and serene atmosphere.
There was an inner peace; one I secretly bestowed on Kates family.
The beautiful casket adorned with blossoms smoothly and eloquently passed.
My heart stopped, I stared, how unfair!
A beautiful girl taken before her time.
Tears smoothly tipping from my cheeks absorbed into a feeling of empathy.
This continued up the boreen to Kates final resting place.
High on a hill, surrounded by fields of glory and lambs bleating to the arrival of an angel.
