I was so sorry to hear of his passing. I knew him from water polo days. Always had a great laugh and he was a dear friend.

I'm shocked and saddened to learn of the passing of my friend Ken.

What a guy Ken joined the DFB with Ken in 1980 great having one of my waterpolo buddies with me and later playing in many a tournament together and becoming European champions these were fantastic times never to be forgotten. Rest In Peace Ken a true legend.

Sleep well Ken. From Tara Street Baths in the 70s to the Liffey in the 2000s we had a big rivalry through years of water polo and sea swimming.. Some black eyes and sore ribs followed by a pint together somewhere. Rest easy and maybe we'll try that Liffey again in the clouds some day

Many a young fellow went on the St. Kevin's Boys summer camp not knowing how to swim, and came home after the fortnight swimming like Mark Spitz. He was a fabulous instructor and he was much admired by the kids and all who met him as well.

welcoming Family home , and Ken making the lovely suppers for his his beloved Mum Sylvia and i before he headed to Homefarm club, not to mention lifts to pick us up from train/ Bus stations r where ever else he was asked to fall in by Sylvia,! Generous to a T,! .memorable Holiday to Achill island staying at his home and driving Sylvia and I to every pub on the Island just to drink a 7up! And meet his friends there who were so fond of him, Ken a great Character, Full of good humour and stories , Always missed , Safely back in the 21st arms of his Adored Mum Sylvia RIP
