My deepest condolences to all of the Halpin family at this very sad and unjust time.

I feel honoured to have had the privilege to work with, be mentored and supported by Kevin. He was the kindest, wisest and gentlest man I've ever met who taught me so so much. I have the upmost respect for him, what he achieved and his values. He will always be an inspiration and role model to me.

Sending my sincere condolences to Kevin’s family and friends. I first met Kevin in 1995 when he interviewed me for a staff nurse position at the Trevor Gibbens Unit. I worked with Kevin for 20+ years and hugely respected him. He had a significant influence on my nursing career and I will always remember him for that and the kind and good person he was. A much loved boss of a growing and successful forensic Service in Maidstone. He always drove us forward, inspired, took risks, stood back and let others shine. Always thoughtful and a great support when needed. Those were the happiest working days of my life! I was so sad to hear the news today and my thoughts are with his family at this awful time. Kevin was the best manager I have ever worked under, always making a point of getting to know every patient and staff member's first name. Kevin would always greet the patient or staff member by their first name asking the how they are etc even if he met them in the staff car park. RIP Kevin gone too soon.
