Hi Dad The phone is gone quiet I wish it would ring just to here you say I Need Fresh Bread and milk or my feet are killing me or I think I'm going to Boothill.
Went down to Clonard you were not sitting in your Chair watching GunSmoke or Bonaza the house is so empty without you. Don't know what to do now as no more trips to St James hospital. We will all miss you loads and you will always be in our hearts. Love you loads Hilda
— Phiomena (Hilda)
Rest in peace granda, I am sorry I couldn't make it to see you but I'm glad we spoke on the phone and talked about sports and the weather difference between us as we always have. It's bright and sunny over here and I know the light will be shining down on you. I was very happy to hear that you still had your great sense of humor even when things were tough and that just proves how strong and great a man you are. As my last grandparent you will be greatly missed and you may not know it but you influenced me a lot everytime I visited you, even if was when I would break something in the house when I was little or didn't perfectly cut the grass in a straight line but your humor really passed on to me as well as the love for cars and motorsport. I know you will miss the pub but don't worry as I know grandpa Vic will be the first to buy you a guiness. Love, James Oliver Green
