Sorry to hear of the passing of Larry RIP. I offer my sincere condolences to all the O'Connor family at this sad time. Larry was my supervisor on my final year project at the University of Limerick and he was a great help to me during my time there and he was always so supportive. A great guy to have known. May he rest in peace.

To Clare, Ken, Graham, Grace, Lisa, Alex and extended O’Connor family. I was very sorry to hear about the passing of Dr Larry, may he rest in peace. A significant scientist in the area of plant breeding and a great former colleague to meet and chat with. Larry was a visionary who got things done. So many of us were enriched by his knowledge and wisdom, not least the many students who he mentored over the years in the University of Limerick. I guest lectured to Larry’s class over many years and saw the high regard the students had for Larry. Thinking of you all at this sad and difficult time.

Not easy. Trust in God and lean not on your own understanding.

In recent years when visiting my late Mother enjoyed meeting Larry with Clare walking about Killinan, Seskin, Racecourse, Liscahill, Mullaunbrack and Leugh. Conversations were always stimulating, informative and interesting.

Thinking of, praying for and with you in spirit.

Walk slowly and rest well Larry. Your work is done.

Sincerely,

Tom
