To the Canny Family, Mairead, Eileen, Eimear and Lar - my condolences to you all on Leo's passing. I have such great memories of us all playing together through our childhood - be it Red Rover, Kick the Can, Releevio. They were magical times and I always loved being in his and your company, we had such fun together. Leo was a great person on our road. He convinced me to join Whitehall Colmcille as a 12 year old by telling me that the team would be playing in Croke Park in a couple of weeks and that sealed the deal. He forgot to mention that we had to first win the semi-final! We never made it to the final but we spent some great afternoons together on Hill 16 watching his beloved Cork in the All-Irelands of the early 1980's. The stories could go on and on and I can only smile thinking of Leo and the part he played in those happy days growing up on Celtic Park Avenue. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis
