My Condolences to all of the Butler Family, I only recently heard of Liam's passing and I would of liked to pass on my condolences in person, apologies to you all for not been there as I know how must he meant to each one of you. May he rest in peace.

All of us send our deepest sympathies to Maura, the Butler children and to your extended family at this difficult time. Liam has been a loyal friend ever since I first met Liam on our first day working in ESB as apprentice electricians on 26th September 1967, with both of us as 15 year old teenagers. Feedback from some of his workmates in Leopardstown Road recall his talent in playing chess, as a team soccer goalkeeper and of his skill with the radio controlled model aircraft at a national level.
A true gentleman.
