Dundrum Football extends the sympathy of us all to Joan and the Hennessy family on the passing of your husband, father and grandfather. Liam was a great watcher of our soccer matches on a Saturday and Sunday afternoon. He would frequently venture on to the pitch at half time to have a chat with his refereeing colleagues. So much so that we christened him our Dundrum UEFA official. He was a lovely person and we have missed his little car and himself down at our games, Another High King of Ireland gone to God.
— Dave O' Brien
Deepest sympathy to the Hennessey family on the death of Liam, who gave great enjoyment to me and a great many fans for all those years ago. May he rest in peace
