Liam's passing is a huge loss. Sincere condolences to Liam's mum, sisters and family circle.

Gavin(RIP) introduced me to Liam 10+ years ago. We instantly clicked, a worldly, witty and unusual man which only made him more interesting.
I learned so much from Liam, many lessons in life.

''Daydreamers never die''
— Fan and friend
I was shocked and saddened to hear the bad news. My condolences to the Reilly family and friends. I got to know Liam when we both lived in Savannah. I called him the Music Man. He was always lilting an old one or a new creation. What a talent, from concept, to writing the lyrics and music and then performing it and many became hits for himself and others. He put life into living, he gave life energy which we all needed back in the 80's when the economy was so bad. The 'Flight of Earls' summed it up. We shared many a happy moment and many funny stories. He was so witty. Lots of laughs.
"The music down on River Street will need an extra hand,
When the Irish boys crank it up for the St. Patrick's Day band
But their spirit will be strong when they march in the parade
The Music Man will inspire them when they sign 'Savannah Serenade'
We will all miss you and your merry ways, but your music will outlive us all.
— Paschal Malone, Houston Texas

As a Dubliner I thank Liam for that wonderful classic song Summer in Dublin. I used to sing it to my three small daughters in the car. Because the song mentions Dun Laoghaire where we live - one of them got it into her head that I was singing about myself. When I sang the line “stopping off to pick up my guitar” she always said “ but Daddy you don’t have a guitar.” Condolences to the family of this genius songwriter whose legacy will live forever.
