Dear Jonathan, Megan and Saoirse,
Please accept our love and sympathy on your great loss. As we brothers met Lillian so often, we came to regard her, not just as a dear cousin but also as the big sister that we never had.
Like you, we will miss her but will remember all the happy times, especially at family gatherings. Her memory will always live on in our hearts. We are very glad to have been able to share with her her joy at seeing her son being married and seeing her very dear granddaughter Saoirse.
Lillian was very glad that she was able to live at home, with the help of her wonderful carers. We know that she was very grateful to them and we include our thanks. They often went beyond the call of duty. She greatly enjoyed trips out, including a visit to the Zoo!

Lillian, we met almost 60 years ago in Jame’s Hospital. We never had a dull day as you used to say. We hated to be out sick because we might miss out on something. You were always so kind to the patients and treated them with great respect. You reached all the milestones in life, You saw Jonathan get his PhD, a Marie Curie Fellowship, marry his beautiful wife Megan, and then the birth of your granddaughter Saoirse. I will greatly miss our daily chats Lil. You always had a fun story to tell. Rest In Peace Lillian, my great friend. You had a life well lived.

I remember Lillian with great fondness, she worked in the cardiac department at St James hospital. This was the earliest days when cardiac physiologists were known as technicians, this was when the technology matched the grade. She was the Matriarch of cardiolgy physiologists, a stalwart of advise with compassion. Every profession has a beginning where individuals lead the way and provide the basic seeds which have the potential to grow .. Thank u Lillian.
