So sorry to learn the sad news of lily's passing. What a wonderful, lovely kind person she was to everyone. I never met lily in person but I would often speak to her on the phone when she would ring my mother in law Rose Murphy whom she played cards with. They struck up a lovely friendship over the years.,which kept them going. Lily was a great cook and we often had some of her brack and apple tarts which she would make so kindly for Rose. When she would ring Rose I'd often answer the phone to lily she had such a beautiful young voice I would never put her to be 93, I use to say to her she only sounded like 70. When Rose passed away lily would often ring me to see how we were all getting on, she was so thoughtful we were meant to meet up but due to covid restrictions it never happened but with lily being the friendly lady that she was I felt I'd known her all my life. Many a funny story she told me she would have me in stitches she was such a hearty person, a lady through and through. She loved her family and her grandchildren whom she adored so much had great praise for them always.
Lily's presence will be sorely missed by everyone, she was a legend.we will never meet the likes of lily's kind again. I would like to express my deepest sympathy to all lily's family and extended family and friends she will be forever in your hearts.
