Deepest sympathy to the Whelan family on Luke's sudden death .l was shocked on hearing the sad news,l met him the previous Friday.l knew Luke from the mid 80's when he moved to Dysart and l have fond memories of him being involved in Local Gun Club and boating and fishing on Lough Ennell. He helped me out in many a project down the years and he was always ready to help out with everybody, he was loyal to the core .May he Rest in Peace.

Rest in Peace Luke. You loved and were loved in your adopted Co Westmeath, especially Dysart and Lilliput and its surrounding areas. So many people have so many lovely recollections of you and the way you helped so many. Our Deepest condolences to Michael, Sean, Seamus, Breda and their families.
