Deepest sympathies to all Maeve’s family at this saddest of times. Maeve was my teacher in Marino for 4 years in the late ‘60’s/early ‘70’s. I have the happiest memories of being in her class. She was a wonderful and inspirational teacher who made every single day fun. It was a joy to sit in her classroom where as well as the ‘3 R’s’, we learnt how to make butter (yes!) , knit socks on three needles and above all ,saw us tour the countryside performing in her legendary plays. I have such fond, happy memories of your dear Maeve, my ‘Miss Ingoldsby’ - she was the best.
