Such sad news. Our families were joined by the friendship between Máire, Conor and my parents Val and Sheila, who shared Kerry connections, the Irish language, poetry and culture, not to mention the international dimension. Máire was so gracious to me and my daughter Róisín de Bhaldraithe a few years ago signing a copy of An paróiste míorúilteach. I remember her as always being so intellectual and interesting - easy to talk to. My condolences to Patrick, Margaret, the next generation and to Máire's extended family. Rest in peace Máire.
