Mairead talked about you all the time and she was so proud of every one of you. I'm privileged to have been her friend and neighbour for many years now and I cannot even begin to say how much I'll miss her. Her amazing intelligence, humour and honesty, she always said it like it was and I've told her I that I often availed of free counselling sessions, from her. I'll miss our many conversations/discussions about life, love, politics and your great book recommendations. Most of all, I'll miss my dear beautiful friend, who was always here for me, we had a lot of fun through everything, especially in the past few difficult years.

Over the years I respected Mairéad very much, as a woman of substance, who was very firm in her opinions, extremely well read and of course, she called a spade, a spade. She enjoyed life and living.
