We are so sorry to hear today, of the passing of Mrs. Lynch. She was so interesting and cheerful and insightful in her chat with Joe in the summer. She was so touching reading that beautiful letter to her new great grandchild. Sympathies to all her family, friends and neighbours. Rest in Peace Mrs. Lynch.

Margaret was an inspiration to us all during the summer.
How blessed you all were to call her mother and "Chocolate Bun".

Our condolences to you all at this difficult time. We loved watching her on telly during the first lockdown and what an active centerian she was, a very special lady. She became a granny to the nation, what a wonderful keepsake you have of her.

Her beautiful smiling face and gentle caring words reading the letter to her new great grandchild brought hope to us all during this awful time. Watch over us all Margaret. Rest in peace. Xxx

I was so sorry to hear of Margaret’s passing. She was a wonderful person to work with, in Walkinstown and her energy and enthusiasm was an inspiration. My thoughts and prayers are with her family at this very sad time.

Thanks so much to all Margaret’s family for sharing her with us She was an inspiration to us Glad she got to cuddle her great grand child Daniel in July She was like all grannies /nannies of an era gone by Especially baking her chocolate buns The light of heaven to her My Aunt always wrote letters from London she passed away with the corona virus aged 92 in May I treasure these letters Rest In Peace

We didn’t know Mrs. Lynch but felt we got to know her, firstly on RTÉ news on her 100th birthday and then during her visit from Daniel. She was such a nice person and it was wonderful to see her still living independently at home. She certainly was an inspiration to us all. Deepest condolences to all her extended family and all who knew her, you were truly blessed. May she rest in peace.

What I remember most about granny lynch was her millionaire shortbread and her Christmas pudding of which I was a recipient of a few times . Her millionaire shortbread was to die for as some of my family would testify to. She was very loved by her family , and her grandchildren were wonderful also .which is only fitting for a woman who spent a lot of her time helping others . She deserves all the accolades she received . May she rest in peace now having lived a very full life
