I am writing this from Australia where I live. Two years ago I met Margaret, when I visited the Shackleton Museum. Margaret greeted me with so much enthusiasm and enhanced my visit so much. We chatted for along time about the great man and indeed another Polar explorer Charles Swithinbank.

3rd November 2023 I am absolutely heart broken to hear today my dear friend Margaret has passed away. R. I. P. MY dear friend. We laughed, and cryed together over the years. I was saddened to read of Margarets passing to her eternal reward. Many happy memories of dealing with her over the years. She was always pleasant and good humoured.
