Only today 22nd June, have I heard of Maria's passing. I have wonderful childhood memories of a very vibrant, glamorous and energy filled, hot blooded Italian Lady. The life & soul of everything she was involved with.

To Tina, Mark, Gino and all the family, my heartfelt condolences at the loss of lovely Maria. I only knew her for a very short time as part of the Silverstream family, but we became friends and enjoyed precious time together chatting, giving out and laughing. My brother Gerry and I shared a table for Christmas lunch with Gino and Maria which was really lovely. Maria was always so gentle and kind to Gerry. I am very grateful for knowing her and will miss her ever time I pass her room. RIP my darling. Angela and Gerry

We were very sorry to hear from Tina that Maria has gone to her eternal reward. We were so looking forward to catching up again after the long covid. It is with great regret that we could not attend Maria's funeral due to Michael's frailty. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. With love, Michael and Terry.

I can't tell you all how very sad I am to know that our Maria is no longer with us. I was on sick leave last week and unable to attend the funeral, as I would indeed have had if I not been well. Maria was a sassy, independent elegant lady who was so very attached to her Italian roots and heritage. She initiated and nurtured contacts and interactions between Ireland and Italy, in her typically bossy but totally committed way. Her energy was remarkable. A great lady in every sense of the word who deservedly was honoured by the President of Italy with the Onorificenza of Cavaliere Ufficiale. Ci mancherai tanto cara Maria, riposa ora in pace con il tuo Signore.

marvellous neighbour and made us welcome when we came to live here. We enjoyed her hospitality many times. Of course she was always supported by Gino, what a team. Life was never boring when Maria was around. May she rest in peace

Heartfelt condolences to you Gino on Marie’s passing. You might remember we had the huge privilege of having dinner with you both each evening on our 2019 cruise to St Petersburg. You were both the highlight of the holidays. We had so much fun and laughs with you. We were so looking forward to seeing you again on a cruise in 2020 but unfortunately Covid came along so that didn’t happen. We are so sorry to hear of Marie’s passing.
