I knew Maria in Irish Life. We became good friends and we had so much fun together. I remember her trying to drag me to Joe Dolan and I would only go if she came to the Clareman reunion. Of course they knew Maria and once again she had to take to the stage..off we then went to Joe Dolan and what a night we had.. RIP Maria. I have such fond memories.

To all the Meehan and Wogan family. I am so sad to learn of Maria’s illness and of her untimely passing from this world. Maria worked with me many years ago in Irish Life in Abbey Street. In a way we grew up together there and everything said about Maria at her Mass is true of our years there too. We knew the perfectionist, the quick wit, the generosity and of course the dancer. My own family still talk about how she took off the high heels, hitched up the dress and stunned everyone at my wedding with a fantastic jig - as only she would!! I know I speak for all our ex colleagues in Irish Life when I say we will always have fond memories of a very special lady. Please accept our deepest condolences on your loss and know we will remember you in our prayers. Rest in peace Maria.

We have lovely memories of Maria dancing during her competitive years many years ago and how lovely and friendly she was. We were very sad to hear of her passing. Her funeral mass was a lovely tribute to her and we were privileged to be able to watch. Our condolences to her lovely family. May Maria rest in peace.
