Jenny’s rock as she described him and such a gentleman to the rest of the world. I cannot imagine how you and Emma feel during these very difficult times. My thoughts and prayers are with all of Mark’s family. Heartfelt condolences.

I am sharing two quotes below:

Rabbi Earl Grollman wrote, "Grief is the price you pay for love. The only cure for grief is to grieve."

Elisabeth Kubler-Ross: “The reality is that you will grieve forever. You will not 'get over' the loss of a loved one; you'll learn to live with it. You will heal and you will rebuild yourself around the loss you have suffered. You will be whole again but you will never be the same. Nor should you be the same, nor would you want to.”

In the bigger of things I have only known Pat a short while, but in that short time he made such an impression on me. He was kind, infinitly positive with a skill for banter that could bring a smile to the grumpiest of faces. So easy to be around!
He will leave a significant gap in this world and he will be deeply missed.

Dad… I am so so proud to be your daughter. Everything I have done and do from now on is for you, to make you proud. You are the funniest, most respected and inspirational man i’ve ever met, and I hope your character will run through Brogan, Emma and I forever.
You will be missed so so much by everyone, this isn’t a goodbye it’s a see you later.
I’ll also make sure to keep you up-to-date with all Celtic games - HAIL HAIL!

Jenny I am without words, Pat and myself spent many an hour together as part of the same gun sub and away from work, i was thinking about him driving to work this morning his supreme fitness but he bought an English Bull dog (Spike) who could not walk the length of himself without getting out of breath. On another occasion we were down in Port Glasgow when the Karaoke started Pat asked for UB 40 Red Red Wine, he turned away from the monitor and banged out every word like a pro. i was speaking to him a few weeks ago about me coming over for the Golf as soon as he kicked the illness in to touch, i want to wish you and your family all the best, God Bless Mac.
